  • Controls: Measures taken to minimize the influence of extraneous and confounding variables (e.g., specific instructions, controlled environment).
  • Realism: The extent to which the experimental situation resembles real-world conditions.
    • Mundane Realism: Whether the experimental task or situation is similar to tasks or situations encountered in everyday life.
